Protecting a php page with a password

Hi everybody,

 

I'm using Prestashop 1.5.4.1.

I would like to protect a certain php file inside the admin folder. I know that index.php and other pages are already protected. I want to the same thing but with another file. I know there's the plain way to do it (.htaccess) but I'd like to make it less intrusive. With a login page as the default or integrated with application as a module or something like that.

 

Is there any way to do it?
