since upgrading today my image slider for homepage isn't working

I upgraded today and since then my image slider for homepage is not working, I am not tech savvy and have done everything I think I can do, can someone point me in the right direction as to what I can try now.  I've reset it and added the images again but nothing is happening.

what you see instead of slider? you've got some js errors? css issue?

please shed some light on your problem and if it is possible - please paste url to your website

I upgraded presta shop to the most recent version and when I went back to the site my images were gone everywhere so I did what they suggested and went into my images and refreshed them or whatever it said to do and all my thumbnails came back but my slider images were gone I have reset the slider and repositioned it and added and removed the images over and over again but to no avail, they just aren't showing up.

any help would be great as I'm hitting my head against a brick wall trying to figure out what else to do

i checked sources of your website and i see there javascript errors:

 

"Flexslider" isn't a part of official imageslider for homepage module.

 

 

so my question is:

 

- you're talking about default home slider module?

- you use some other sliders?

just the image slider for homepage module, I don't know the other one you mentioned

i suppose that your theme use modification of this slider. After upgrade these files were overwrited

 

have you got an access to your theme original files?

if so, try to upload /homeslider/ from your original theme file to your online store (/modules/homesldier/)

No I don't have access to those files as I just dumped my web designer who was a nightmare!  Is there anything I can do to rectify this?

have you got any backup of files (from time before upgrade) ?

yes I backed up as instructed just before the upgrad

so if you've got fbackup, just grab /homeslider/ directory from your backuped files and upload it to your online store

without access to code is hard to say what's goin on.

can you share this module please? i will inspect it.

Is it easier for me to buy a image slider module and install it myself and start again?

well, in some cases: yes, in my opinion it will be much easier than fixing crashed module.

i said "in some cases" mainly because I don't know what's going on exactly, maybe problem is with configuraiton, not with module
