[SOLVED] Don't show subcategories products on parent

Hi:
I've noticed that subcategories products are shown on the parent category whenever the parent has or not products associated, can this be avoid? i want to show it only on the associated category and not on parent one.

 

I'm using Prestashop 1.5.5.0

This is the default behavior of PrestaShop, some templates have done this differently. You can check out some PrestaShop templates on our Addon store.

But the link that you provided do the opposite to what i want. I don't want to show subcategories on the parent.

It explains how to show products under the subcategory page itself. It may not be exactly what you are looking for. You need development help you can post in the [JOB FORUM] and check out quotes from other members or you can check out templates that will do this for you.

Sorry but is not needed any development help was just a configuration problem.

The user nadie explained here: http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/249989-la-categoria-padre-muestra-todos-los-productos-de-sus-subcats/?view=findpost&p=1242073 how to solve that. On the module Layered navigation, Show products from subcategories set it to no.

i think that nadie solution isn't related to default prestashop behavior described in this topic and by Benjamin,

Nadie says there about layered block, here we are talking about exploration of category tree

I have done what he said and products of subcategories are not shown on the parent so it's obvious that is related or ir a prestashop bug... In any case my problem has been solved.

Hi,

I have the opersite issue.

After upgrading from 1.5.6.1 to 1.5.62 none of my products in sub categories show in the parent.

Result is my parent shows zero products.

 

The net result is people leave my site and my sales have plumeted.

My bad... somehow layered navigation had changed. I re-set the module and now all good.

Same problem here after upgrade the products of subcategories are not showing. I reset the module but nothing worked but one suggestion showing that a "A nightly rebuild is recommended.".
