fs_xyz
Uhh... the voucher by default only cut product ( or total products bought ) price.Probably you are using percentage which confuse you.Try it using nominal range. ( voucher type changed into discount on order (amount) )
chrissie
Thanks for taking the time to reply I'm not using the percentage rate - but your reply did make me take another look at my shopping cart. The problem is actually that the customer is allowed to use a discount voucher which is worth more than the value of items in the cart. eg order value in my test cart is only 2.25, but I can use a voucher worth 4.55, in effect giving me a minus value to the shopping cart. I hadn't noticed it was doing this and at a glance assumed it was deducting from shippping costs. So how do I make sure the voucher isn't used if it's less than the value of the shopping cart? fs_xyz
Go into admin voucher editor. There is a field called minimum amount.Filled with minimum amount you want the voucher can be applied to.For example... in your case :someone bought for 2.25 ( whatever your currency )you don't want this to get voucher, instead if someone bought for 4.55, this person can use the voucher.therefore you need to set the minimum amount to 4.55.The minimum amount is set for total products bought... not for singular item price tough. So if a person bought for a total exceeding or at 4.55, he/she can still use the voucher.
