[SOLVED] Prestashop and SSL issue

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone,

I have a strange issue here. I have my SSL setup and it seems to work fine.

I tried to enable it in prestashop by clicking on the link that reads "Please click here to use HTTPS protocol before enabling SSL"

WHen I click on above link to activate SSL. I see a server not found error and the URL of my site gets two https in it. So no surprise that the page is not found.

https://https//www.mysite.com (example url)

So I then went back to admin home page and changed http in url to https which forced temporary SSL usage. I then went to enable SSL in preference -> general and this time I successfully enabled SSL but on the front end of my shop the my account link, contact page link, etc recevives page not found erro.

So for example if I click on my account then the URL of the page is as below:

https://https//www.mysite.com/en/login?back=my-account

and same goes for contact page and all other ssl enabled pages.

Does anyone know what is the cause of this?, I will appriciate any help on this. Thank you

Preferences  > SEO & URLs

Set shop URL

Shop domain  yourdomain.com
SSL domain   yourdomain.com
Base URI     /

Let me know if you are set like above. That is what it should look like.

You should NOT have,

Shop domain  http://yourdomain.com
SSL domain    https://yourdomain.com
Base URI     /

Thank you so much Bill. The problem was exactly as you said above.
