Stars and ability to place comments are not appearing

When I start with a fresh install of Prestashop, I have the ability to add comments. However, along the way, these have suddenly disappeared. I can still read comments (sadly, of which there are none).

I've not been able to get this fixed in the last 3 stable versions, no matter what I tried. I thought perhaps it was on the wrong hook or something, but can't see where it's wrong or what it's incompatible with. I read somewhere that including a video into the description can cause this issue, but that was only briefly mentioned in one thread.

I am not sure how this would effect it though.

Can anyone help me out? I tried asking elsewhere, but it was ignored.

uninstall and then install this module

Hi there, thanks for replying! Yes, I had already tried reinstalling version 2.3

I keep thinking it will be fixed with an update, but sadly it doesn't look like it so far.
