Ricarditu
Hi! I've read several posts about how to change a Prestashop's installation to a different folder. Previously, I had all the files in the root but I needed to change them to a subfolder called /es. This is the link: http://75.98.171.250/~virtuall/es/. The thing is that after that, the admin works, the website shows but the links don't. It is in Spanish (that's why it was changed to /es), so when I click on a category or the cart button, for example, it tries to open http://75.98.171.250/~virtuall/es/es/somethig and it gives an error... What did I do wrong or what's missing? I didn't change anything on the database or elsewhere. Just changed the files and, before, changed the url in the "SEO & URL" to http://75.98.171.250/~virtuall/es/. Thanks!
Ricarditu
I changed the "Automatically redirect to the canonical URL" to "Yes" and it started working... As soon as I type http://75.98.171.250/~virtuall/es/, it's automatically changes to http://75.98.171.250/~virtuall/es/es.

I'm not quite sure why you needed to change anything in the first place? You shouldn't need to create a /es subfolder - just select the Spanish language as your default, make the required translations and Prestashop will take care of all the 'es' stuff. Ricarditu
Hi! That was not the reason, I know Prestashop handles all the language stuff, it was a project need. I have two shops, one portuguese and one spanish, however, due to the management software used (PHC), I could not use multistore, it would not work because of legal and some management issues. That's why I needed to create the subfolders. Thanks!
