Removing Our Stores from Information Block in Footer PS 1.5.6.0

I do not have a physical store and it has been a real pain to remove all of the references!

I have removed it  from the CMS block on the left side and in the Admin area Preference display in Footer is off.  Yet  it still displays. Attached is  what i am talking about in case there is any doubt.  The CMS appears  to only be for the left block, but  showing it anyway. last image shows  no check box  for our store. Unchecking display various links and information in the  footer  removes the  entire block..

 

 

How do I get rid of this last reference to "Our Stores"?

if you turn off these settings, after save - they are displayed as turned off or turned on ?

everything depends on theme, you use default one or maybe some custom solution?

I have verified the  boxes are set to no.  i am using a custom theme a slightly altered copy of the  default theme, mostly color changes some  extra space at the start and end of the page,  No Code changes!

and if you remove this link manually form .tpl file, it still appears there?

I know this is several months later, but I thought I'd share.  After reading this post, I changed my theme back to default, resaved the "store" off settings, then changed it back to my regular theme.  That seemed to do the trick for me.

I have read alot of forum on how to remove these links but none on how to rename them. Can you guys help me ? I just want "Our stores" to become "Our opening hours", but I can't find where I have to change it.

 

I have 2 languages in my website french/english.

I've tryed to go in localization -> translation but it does not seem's to work.

 

Any idea ?

Hi Gratton, I made my change by editing the name on the translation of the shop. But if your store is in english I think it will be not possible to change this way.

I think the easiest way is to edit the blockuserinfo.tpl file.

 

Just find the name of the link and change it by the name you want. Unfortunately if you are use to code and FTP.

 

On my shop is:

{l s='Store Locator' mod='blockuserinfo'}

 

So if I want a different name I have to chafe 'Store Locator' with other name like 'Opening Ours'

Hello! Disable the "Store locator block" module, it will remove the <our stores> link from footer.
