Guest
Hey everyone, Looking for a module to calculate price based on user input of width and length in inches. We paid for E-Lance work but it is shoddy at best and are looking for a paid module. We don't need any fancy features, just something that gets the job done. Thanks in advance,

Enrique Gómez
This module is though to sell those type of goods http://www.alabazweb.com/en/prestashop-modules/21-sale-of-goods-by-modulus-m2-m3-linear-and-decimals-prestashop.html Is a little expensive but it has a lot of options Note for moderators: The prestashop thread is http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/155333-modulo-de-venta-por-m2-m3-lineales-volumen-etc but I've only found it in spanish so let me send the english commercial link Edited October 9, 2013 by Enrique Gómez (see edit history)
Guest
Hey enrique, Yes I have seen that one however it seems a little overkill for what we need and is definitely on the expensive side. Plus I'm not a big fan of how it calculates and adds to cart, seems a little overkill. Vitor, the only problem is that we want to offer custom dimensions and to offer that many combinations would be too cumbersome for the user to find the dimensions they want. This is for wallpaper so the range of dimensions is so large. Therefore I believe the best option is to use a module unless there is a method I am missing. Thanks for the suggestions so far guys! I'm going to be checking out MEGs module as it looks very promising! eggo
Enrique Gómez
I find difficult to introduce the price "infinitesimal" variations into Prestashop price system. I've done a "Coverage calculator" (for paints or varnish coats for example) before ,so to help the user know which variation adjust most to their requirements. You configure the proportion in the back office and the user introduces the area he needs in the front office to know how much they'll need. But it's merely an informative module. AMA1MD
With our module you can choose to add directly to your cart or you want to display the information in a modal image. You can see real examples of web work with our module: http://www.cortiweb.net/estampados/162-cortina-coolen.html http://www.todoalfombras.com/disenador-de-alfombras-kp/14-alfombra-kp-personalizada.html (this site is also a small change that creates an image of the final product) http://zutrok.com/es/sin-persiana/3-ventana-abatible-de-2-hojas-sin-persiana-sin-rpt-pr7000.html We have hundreds of different examples of various web, tell us what you need and help
Presta4All
In case you may want to do this by yourself and without module : You can simply use Attributes (L*l) and Values(1,2,3 inches) And then enter the price for each combination for the products See the prestashop documentation PS1.5+ http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS15/Adding+Products+and+Product+Categories#AddingProductsandProductCategories-AddingProductCombinations PS1.4 http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS14/Adding+Products+and+Product+Categories#AddingProductsandProductCategories-AddingProductCombinations
