caris789
PLEASE HELP! I'm completely frustrated two days ago I noticed that my back office has become extremely slow especially when I get to the products section of it, I have not been able to add any items cos it takes forever to load and sometimes just says web page not found. all of the pages take so long to go and mostly end up giving me "web page not found" error and I have to reload. Yesterday I was told on the forum that it might have to do with my hosting service I have tried to reach them and will try to reach them again today. My problem now is that I can no longer log into my back office. I have searched everywhere and everyone having the same problem never got a solution. I have put in so much time and money into setting up this site that I would hate to start over or have to pay someone to do a brand new site. Please I am pleading, please someone please tell me what to do. Please any suggestions will be appreciated. please. I have attached what the log in at my back office looks like. the front office seems to be working, but it takes forever to log in a customer I am still on 1.5.4 and I have been soo afraid of upgrading Edited October 8, 2013 by caris789 (see edit history)
benjamin utterback
Hi! What version of PrestaShop do you use? The first problem that occurred was the the back office was moving slow, and then now two days ago you cannot log in at all? If these are completely random occurrences then I would say to check with your hosting provider. Check your browser console log, especially ajax answers.. Using google chrome press (ctrl+shift+j . Also check the "network" tab for ajax queries responsesLet us know what you find.
caris789
Hello Utterback, Thank you for responding, I am still on prestahop 1.5.4.1 I am very afraid of upgrading.. I am using a custom theme and not sure what will happen when I upgrade especially since it looks like the upgrade is not really straight forward. I do not know what happened but after several attempt i was able to log in but without https then when I tried again I was able to log in via ssl (https) but everything is slower with https. I have contacted my hosting provider and they said they are working on it. As for the the test you wanted me to carry out. can I do it even after I have logged in? benjamin utterback
Sure, just keep the console up and let us know what shows up during the pages that show errors. If your hosting provider is working on it they can probably see an error. Especially if these errors happened randomly.
