This leads you to the Products screen. To create your new digital product, click on the green Add New button in the upper right corner. When you first enter the Product Edit screen, you will need to take notice of the set of radio buttons at the top. You will want to select the radio button for Virtual Product. This will add a Virtual Products tab on the left hand side and immediately take you there." ddbloth Posted October 24, 2013 Share Posted October 24, 2013 (edited) Hello - For the record, making a product a "Virtual" product does NOT accomplish removing the shipping block from the checkout process. Granted, you can get past it and not have any shipping charges...however: 1 - Check out screens still refer to shipping 2 - The shipping block is still a part of the check out 3 - I imagine there are a couple of other items that need to be tweaked as well ;-) I am guessing the only way to clean this up is override the checkout via override, or module. Still getting my arms around all of the development capabilities of PrestaShop so I wont be much help there yet, sorry. All of that said - there is one thing I found you can do to remove the a portion of the shipping stuff - and this just a work around to a true solution: a - In the back office, go to modules. b - Look under the "Shipping and Logistics" category c - Uninstall the Uninstall the "Shipping Estimate" This gets rid of the block it appears, then under the shipping step (this is the 5 part checkout in 1.5 (latest release). Keep in mind "Shipping" is still mentioned all over the place in the checkout process, but does help clean this up a little bit. I want my shop to operate on COD basis only where the customer enters his/her info (name, address, phone no) and clicks submit; as simple as this.
