ludivick
Hello! I need to change the currency for the payment of paypal to USD. My default currency is BRL (Brazilian Reais). I would like that the customer is able to use the shop all in BRL and only at the end when clicks paypal the convertion is made and the payment performed in Reais (I need this as the Brazilian gov. just cancel payment in reais outside Brazil) Thanks
bellini13
Hello, please provide the following information 1) Version of Prestashop 2) Paypal module used and module version 3) Exchange rate you would like to use 4) Do you plan to use the refund functionality of the module in the back office? The module will need to be customized to perform the currency conversion from BRL to USD. And then from USD to BRL upon payment completion. One alst addition the best would be to actually receive in Euro not in USD (We are a German company) 1) 1.5.5 2) 3.6 3) Standart or the same one as already in my system or 1BRL= 3,48 Euros or 1BRL=2,48 USD 4) Not Necessary I dont need to have back to BRL the customer can pay in Euro for paypal and I can receive in Euro also. So all that I need is thath after he click paypal as the payment option that the amounts are converted and paypal charges in Euro and show in Euro in their page. bellini13
As long as your Paypal account can accept EUR, then I don't care if you wish to use USD or EUR. So instead of converting to Euro, can we just update the cart currency to Euro once paypal is selected? Sort of like the customer selecting EUR as the currency, but instead of the customer doing it, the paypal module will force it. When the customer is directed to Paypal to pay, they are going to see the amount in EUR or USD, you understand that right?

That the total value is converted to Euro at the payment. The best would be if they could see the exchange (so the value in BRL and in Euro them) but if this is not possible just to have the value paid in Euro will solve all
bellini13
I would suggest adding a message to the paypal method stating that the currency will be converted to Euros. Then when they click on it, the conversion would take place and then they would be sent to Paypal which would show them the amount in Euros.
