pureclothings
Hello Community, I'm running a B2B shop and I need to verify the VAT numbers of EU countries automatically. I want a system that checks the VAT number of customers within EU and if the VAT number is not correct then they will be charged certain percent of VAT. If the VAT number is correct, then no VAT will be added. What is the easiest way to do this? Looking forward for your help.

pureclothings
Hello tuk, I installed and activated European VAT number v1.1 but I don't find how it works. The VAT number field also doesn't shows up in registration form. Can you please tell me how this module works?
tuk66
Set your country in the module. Then when the customer is registering and fill the company (because VAT is company related), a field for VAT number will appear. If VAT is a correct number (checked in the EU database), the cart and invoice too displays amounts without VAT.
pureclothings
Thanks alot for the reply. I've placed the country name and VAT field also started to show up. But how to check VAT in EU database and I need to set 21% VAT for the customer who enters invalid VAT number. Can you please help me in this case? It's really important for me. tuk66
It is automatic behavior. Of course, you have to enable taxes in your shop and set 21% VAT on all products.
pureclothings
That means I've set tax rule 21% to all EU member countries and leave rest of the things to be handled by system?
