aztecmedia
Hi all, We have a very busy site that uses PrestaShop 1.4.5.2. It has on average around 3,500 visitors per day and around 70-80,000 per month. Looking at the real-time statistics in Google Analytics there are usually around 30 visitors on the site at any one time. The hosting company have noticed that the MySQL database is increasing on average about 10-20 MB each month. Should this be happening? If not, what may be causing this? As a side note, in the admin under Customers -> Shopping carts, there are often lots of duplicated entries here - could this be a cause? Thanks, Oliver Edited September 30, 2013 by aztecmedia (see edit history)
vekia
this is because prestashop collect information about your shop guests. if you don't want this, disable statistics
aztecmedia
I guess that makes sense especially as we have so many visitors to the website each month! I will see how this continues leaving statistics enabled, but if it continues to be an issue for the hosting company I'll disable them. Thanks again!
