I'm new to all this, and need some advice on what I need to do to improve my site.

 

I'm getting visitors, but no orders.

 

google had pointed out that there was a robot problem, which has just been fixed.

 

I will be redoing the photos . . . but what else ?

I thought words were more important than photos. I did have lots of words but deleted it.

Also do you mean the photos should be higher up the homepage?

The sliding horizontal menu when you go down the page is pretty irritating - in my opinion you should come up with a better effect.
