email template

Hi There

I am trying to configure the email template under the translation tab. More specifically, i am trying to modify the in_transit template. I want to add the tracking URL so that when my customer receive the email they can just click on it and go to the right page.

 

I can see the template having this line

You can track your package using the following link: {followup}

 

what do i need to do so that i can change the URL? as in automated so that i don't need to update this template each time.

 

I have put in the tracking number in the orders and i have set up the tracking email under the shipping> carrier already....what else do i need to do?

I have put in the tracks number in the order page already . But when I test the in transit email - it doesn't generate the tracking link in the email sent to the customer.

 

 

All I want is the customer receive an email from my shop having the tracking URL on it

 

 

Any idea?

Yes I did put the tracking URL there with @ at the end and then I put the shipping tracking number in the customer order page...

I see! And you still get the variable " {followup}"?

Yes I still get the variable after I have done those . So I am wondering what have I done wrong ... Any ideas?

Really weird, prestashop version? Which carriers are you using?

I'm having a similar problem, the tracking link shows up but it's not adding the tracking number to the link. From BO if I click on the tracking number it's just taking me to the FedEx tracking page.

For example the tracking link for FedEx is https://www.fedex.com/fedextrack/?tracknumbers= and there should be the tracking number added right behind the "=" sign such as https://www.fedex.com/fedextrack/?tracknumbers=838904915000863

Does your in_transit.html look something like this?
