Quick help. Indian rupee symbol not showing up in some OS like XP

Hi, 

 

Just now I have got some feedback from few customers that Indian rupee symbol is not showing up in some systems. They just see boxes and boxes with '20bq' or plain boxes or just white space.

 

This problem exists for some, not for all. What could be the fix for this. 

 

Please check www.omytus.com. I can see it correct n my system. 

 

Not sure why is that so. 

 

Can anyone help me.

windosw xp ans windows 7 doesn't support the rupee symble. thats why.

 

windows 8 and windows 7 sp1 and smartphone support rupee symble.

so just use Rs. instated of the symble.

change it from currency block

In your shop database search for " _currency" table.In the same table change the value of "sign" field to "र" without quotes.

It will work for the shop.

The easy way, just include the following Javascript on your website header just before the closing </header> tag, just paste the following code to the header.tpl of your theme folder, it will convert all instances of Rs or Rs. to the Rupee  font:

 

<script src="//cdn.jsdelivr.net/rupyainr/1.0.0/rupyaINR.min.js"></script> [put http: before //cdn.]

 

adding this on your website will convert every instance of Rs, Rs. and INR to Indian Rupee Symbol Rs (note that there should be a [space] after the rupee word - example : Rs [space]200)
