CopiousJ
I develop sites from time to time for some of my consulting clients, I have always used wordpress for this, but i have grown somewhat frustrated with trying to get all components to work togeather seamlessly on wordpress with more complex sites, such as ecommerec sites so I am exploring some options and would love to hear from any others who have migrated from wordpress to PS. How is the learning curve/tutorials and help here with PS? As far as images manipulation/handling tools - any issues? Tired of dealing with my images being blown up huge / distorted with some WP templates, and having to comb through many possible solutions to get it right. Are you finding the extensions you need to market well? - social media feeds etc? Any other tips you wanna throw my way - it is much appreciated - thanks! NemoPS
Hi there! As you're new to Prestashop, you might be interested in my 101 series: http://nemops.com/prestashop-101-day-1-installing-prestashop/ It's just a simple, non-coding oriented introduction, but I have other tutorials for various subjects you can find good tuts at mypresta.eu as well Then, there is the official prestashop documentation at doc.prestashop.com Prestashop is not... should I say "clean"? As Wordpress. You'll find yourself in trouble many times because of discrepancies in the code structure, but ultimately the learning curve is not so steep. And yes, there are tons of extensions out there so it would not be a problem at all to extend the software (I sell modules myself) But, as you are asking about image manipulation, be aware that prestashop doesn't have any crop/scaling tool builtin when you upload pictures! Feel free to ask any other question! Cheers!
