batman42ca
I've installed Prestashop in a "/ps" sub-directory. For testing purposes, I would also like to maintain an installation of Prestashop in a "/ps2" sub-directory (both have their own independent database). I seem to get into trouble when dealing with Friendly Urls. The two installations seem to conflict. Clicking a menu item in the "/ps2" installation can send me to the "/ps" installation. How can I make these two parallel installations happily co-exist on the same server without disabling Friendly Urls on both? batman42ca
I managed to figure this out for myself. The answer is to use the server control panel to create a sub-domain, then place the 2nd installation of Prestashop in the sub-domain directory on the server and configure Prestashop (via Preferences > SEO &URL) to use the sub-domain. One more step that might be necessary, disable and then enable friendly urls. I was getting page not found errors until I did that.
