How to group clients/customers by language or nation?

Hi! Is there a quick way to group customers by language? I need to apply different discounts for different nations. ex 20% for all italians, 30% for all from UK, etc..

What's the quickest way?

there is no way to give customer discount based on customer language / country

 

all what you are able to do - define groups for certain language and move your customers to correct groups.

go to customers > group and for example create new group named "English"

then move all customers from UK to this group.

i know that it will be a nightmare to move customers manually to this group in back office , but this is the only way to achieve this with default tools.

Any news in this subject?

I have to deal with a company based in two countries Argentina (prices tax included in the product price) and in US (price showing with no taxes in the cart) and I think the best way to go would be by dividing it by groups.

Any idea or help is greatly appreciated.

fyi: recently learned that not until 1.5.4.1 does the customer language get saved in the customer record.
