Upgraded to Prestashop 5 and now bounce rate very high

My site has run fine on PS4 for a year with a google analytics bounce rate of around 5%.

I then had the site moved to the latest PS5 version with a new theme that was close  to the old design with same style of links etc.

However in the past 3 days since the move my bounce rate has gone from 5% to around 60% to 70%

I contacted my host provider and they say it is working fine.

I did a speed test of the site before at http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/ and it was around 92/100 and now it is about 84/100

Is this the new PS5 being slow.

 

Any advice on how to fix this would be appreciated as it now appears all my customers are not bothering to stay.
