Manufacturers description character quantity not enough!!

Hi all!

I had put some description about each manufacturers what I have in my shop, but when on front office I click on manufacturers header and ps displays all manufacturers with a small logo, and how many products contains the manufacturer, I could need to show approx. 500 characters of descriptions

but this place is limited only for 2-3 sentences

1. Can I make more places for each manufacturer description somehow????

2. Or maybe when somebody click on a manuf. name in the list (in manufacturer box) than ps immediately shows the products of the choosen manufacturer....... so in the "head" of the middle collum should be the best to see the given description........ just like the homefeatured on the index page!!!

Should anibody know a solution, how to do the first or the second idea????
