[SOLVED] Image Slider 2 problem - images don't appear

Hiya all,

 

Is it possible to use 2 image sliders in one prestashop ?

 

I would like to have an advert sliding banner across the top just under topmenu.

 

Or is there some other way of achieving this

yes it is.

you can for example use different slider, or duplicate slider that you use (if you are allowed by module license)

 

what image slider you use?

so you've got possibility to:

1) duplicate this module (a bit piece of modifications in module .php file)

2) or just use  different slider module like minic slider, camera slider, etc.

Hiya all, i have installed minic slider and attached it to the homepage

I can now see the outline of where it should be

I can see the nav arrows and i have also set it to show thumbnails instead of the dots

 

I can see the thumbnails but i cannot see the actual images that should be shown in the slider

 

Any help is greatly appreciated

it's hard to say what's going there without an access to your web, it will be cool if you will share url to your store, otherwise it is almost impossible to find solution;(

images doesnt work because something  is blocking possibility to view it

Changed the permissions on the images and it works

may i know what kind of permissions you've got now? it was related to chmod or to chown ?

Hiya Vekia,

 

When you load an image into the slider, via the module, it puts them in the  modules/minicslider/uploads folder

 

When i check in cpanel the images only have permissions of 0600 so i changed them to 0644

 

Not sure if this is a bug in the module, as they should be set to show when you upload the images ??

i think that you will have this issue each time when you will try to upload something :| 

can you try with other modules with upload feature?

 

anyway, im going to mark this topic as [solved]
