EricMantia
In regards to the Multistore feature, I have a query which I did not see addressed in the PS User Manual: When you have two or more shops in Prestashop, in the eyes of a browsing customer, does each shop retain its separation from the others? In other words, there isn't a way for a potential customer to see the relation between them, i.e. who owns them? We want to create shops which are separated entities, despite being owned and run by the same company....
El Patron
that is no problem, for all the world to see, each shop is a separate domain,
Pronux
If you are using the Multistore-function and want to create different looking shops, you should be very careful with the "data import" options. Please have a look here: http://forge.prestashop.com/browse/PSCFV-9774
EricMantia
Thanks for the replies you guys...and upon reading what you linked me to Pronux, I know now that I do NOT want to import data between the sites....which isn't a big deal anyways really, seeing as how the customer database for one is not going to overlap with the customer database for the other (each site is serving two separate markets/industries), and we want to keep it that way. El Patron
honestly, you should review the very full features additional shop creation, here is just some of the things you can import/or not. Especially themes/modules. ps did a great job on the feature selection http://screencast.com/t/oAqCUdQb
