Inserting HTML codes

Hello!

 

Tried to find out some solution but haven't...

I wander how to enter some HTML codes into my Presta shop (have 1.5.5.0 version).

I would appreciate if you can give me an simple explanation!

you can do it in many ways, you can for example use free modules like: html block, content box etc.

or you can use also commercial solutions.

 

other way is to ... manually edit template files located in your theme directory (themes/YOUR_THEME)

I did use "html block" module but it doesn't work (I'm on 1.5.5.o version)

I can not see the modul at all

It's not a module i suggest you to use. If you want to put some HTML for example in the homepage, then go to the template folder. It should be located in www.website.ext/themes/templatename/

Edit for example header.tpl or footer.tpl, depending on where you want your HTML to appear.

There are also some comment lines that may help you put your code in the right place.

this module works with ps in version 1.5.5 well. you said that you can't see module at all, you installed it ?

may i know where you want to insert own code? everything depends on it

Yes, I have installed it but can not see anywhere: tried on Homepage and on Right /Left column block - unsuccessfully.

Maybe I'm doing an error all the time and repeat it?

What vekia asked you (i think) is where you want your HTML to perform. We will be able to give you more specific indications if you allow us. For example, you want a div to appear under your logo? Above items in the homepage?

PS: are you italian?

what code you're trying to add? any chance to test your website? if so, please share url

Yes, I'm using an custom theme.

I'm trying to add some codes which I got from affiliates site.

What I had on mind is to put those codes and on homepage and on other pages (mostly on left and right columns)

Go edit public_html/themes/templatename/header.tpl

You should find left column about in the end of the file.

In the file manager. You should go into your hosting. I don't know which one you use, aruba, altervista, netsons, a2hosting?

I was trying with recommended "HTMLbox" and got link on website but it's a just code (it has good link to desired site but there is no image!).

Any idea?

You want a link into an image, right?

Host your image into your hosting or into an image hosting server, such as tinypic.com, photobucket.com or imageshack.us. Get direct link to image and paste it here.

<a href="link_to_website"><img src="direct_link_to_image"></a>

Then paste the code where you want the image to be as i told you.

you have to upload image somewhere, for example - via FTP service to your store /img/ directory
