[SOLVED] Mail problem 1.5.5.0

Hi,

 

I have some problem with the mail function.

In backoffice where I can send a test mail it says that the mail is sent successfully, but I dont recieve any. 

 

I have tried this: https://github.com/PrestaShop/PrestaShop/commit/ffdc7b51b7f07a1919cbaaafba5a5602671fb3a8

 

Anyone who have any idea what I can try?

I assume you already checked your spam folder, correct? 

I've seent his happening on some hostings, emails are simply not coming through. Is there a chance you can check email logs on the domain?

 

Thank you for the answer. I have tried both the domain we have in comapny and hotmail. Nothing in inbox or in the spam folder.

I will check if there possible to see the email logs, I will come back with a status for that.

Update.

I changed from "Use PHP mail() function. Recommended; works in most cases" to "Set my own SMTP parameters. For advanced users ONLY".

 

I wrote in all settings as it should (I have also checked all settings by adding them on a ipad and test sent a mail, it worked)..

 

But now when I'm trying to send a test mail from the backoffice the "status indicator" is just spinning, please see attached pic. I just cleaned the field with my email for the pic. 

 

 

Is it any way to see why it get stuck there?

What port are you using?

 

Have you tried using Port 25?

 

Update.

After cleared history in web browser and restarted it. I can now send  mail from the "test button", but I dont get any mails when I creating new account or place order. 

 

What I tried now was:

 

I made a new installation of 1.5.5.0, and everything is working.

But when I change the config file so it connect to my existing database instead of the "fresh" one,  the mail function when regestration is done and order is places stop work..

Are there any settings for this somewhere in the database..?

Same Problem! Does anyone know how to fix this???

 

When i send a Mail to myself then I get a Mail in my Email Account (Costumer) that the Mails has been send correctly.

 

But the Admin gets Nothing!!! My Provider write to me that, they can´t see a wrong setting.

I dont know what happend but, I copied the mail files from /mails/ to /themes/default/mails and then it worked. Dont ask me what happend but it works for me now. Thank you everyone for your time and help!

Hi, when you connected the config file to you existing database. Was that database version a 1.5.5 database?
