LynKen2013
I downloaded Prestashop, uploaded it into my server. Went to a page that was my website followed by/Prestashop then it installed into my database server. When it was finished the screen came up, then my I went to get some coffee. My 2 yr old deleted the page and now i cant find out how to get back to where i was and finished the download and create the store. Can someone give me a link or information on how to do it? I would GREATLY appreciate it! Thank You, Ken
Dh42
You should ftp into your site and delete the /install folder and rename the admin folder to what ever you want. Then access the site at yourdomain.com/prestashop
LynKen2013
I did that, now it wont let me in the back office part of my site. It only takes me to the front page, but not the back. How do I get in so I can start changing and arranging things?

PascalVG
Lynken, is there a folder Admin or Admin123 etc in your shop root folder (/prestashop)?? Then add that to the URL to get into your backoffice: something like www.mydomain.com/prestashop/Admin123 But maybe you tried that already.... pascal

PascalVG
Hi suitenine, We need a little more info. Can you exactly describe which steps you made, where exactly added/copies files (full path)? Did you create the domain already? Did you put the files in the root of the domain, or in any sub folder? Pascal
agenceweb74
The easy way : remove everything from your public_html / htdocs folder on the ftp server, drop every table in the database using phpmyadmin tool if provided by your hoster. The standard way : use advices already given by PascalVG in order to find out your backend.

Assuming you don't have any other website hosted here....!! (Be careful what you advise people, without knowing their situation...) htdocs seems mainly used for local (development) sites, not so much for hosted ones on a remote server. Those are mostly directly in public_html (if only one site is hosted here) or in a subdirectory that indicates the webdomain (if more than one site is hosted here) My 2 cents, pascal.
agenceweb74
Assuming you don't have any other website hosted here....!! (Be careful what you advise people, without knowing their situation...) Of course you're right ! I'am assuming people over here are responsible and would not make a prestashop install on a production server letting access to the (supposed) lovely 2 year old ! In this specific case the only "prestashop" folder lynken2013 is concerned.

Pascal Yes I already had a domain with go daddy, I'm not really sure because I had help doing it. To be honest none of this makes sense to me. I just followed the video step by step
PrestaSOO
Oh common, you just have to upload a new admin folder in a Prestashop package to your website, rename to backend and access your store at : yourwebsite.com/backend. Hope this help. P/s : I can not believe your son ( 2 years old ) can do that ))
