Franchisee solution needed

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have a requirement that is like a reverse affiliate / dropshipper idea...involving setting up franchisees.

Franchisee has a physical store already but no internet presence. Franchisee pays me a monthly fee to set-up and run an online store for them. I sell this idea to many retail store owners and create a single online brand and store.

I have one database, one set of products, many stores (one per franchisee - co-branded), I do the order processing and shipment, the franchisee receives a % commission on the sale.

How would you recommend I establish this with Prestashop and modules?

Thanks

Craig

Good morning

Assuming the customer does not know or care which franchisee gets commission and depending on how close the physical stores

are to each other then the easiest way would be to use zones.

If it is worldwide then each country has it's own franchisee

If it is by state then each states has it's own franchisee

If it is by city then each city would have it's own franchisee

The nearer the stores are the more problematic it becomes

Perhaps you could expand a little more on the areas you are trying to cover

Hi Paul

Thanks for the suggestion of zones - I will explore this further.

I am looking at about 500 stores all up with one per suburb / area. I will be listing about 15,000 items. So each postcode could relate to a single store. I will be managing the product catalogue of about 15,000 items and also do the order fulfilment / shipping. I do not have a warehouse but will do a supply order once the customer order is received.

The members (franchisees) will pay a monthly fee but receive a commission on the items sold from their stores. Customers need to select which store when they log-in (either a list or a map) and customers may have the goods posted to their delivery location(s) or they way wish to collect directly from the physical store (once the goods have arrived there). It is assumed that the physical stores do not carry all the products and so I will pick, pack and dispatch to the physical store for collection by the customer if that is what the customer requires. This is also a benefit to the physical store owner (member / franchisee) as it increases foot traffic to their store.

What more do you want to know?

Regards

Craig

Ok, I understand what you are trying to achieve and I know this type of thing has been asked before on the forum but without any

real answer/solution.

You do not say where you will be providing this service but I assume downunder and again with the amount of stores you will be

supplying it will not be one city or state so,

The only reasonable way is to narrow down where the customer comes from is to use post/zip codes and or telephone numbers

(area codes)

You can easily force people to enter this information on your site

Which ever way you do it their will be winners and losers but over a period of time it should equal out.

It will then, of course, be up to admin to allocate each sale on this information, not a simple task
