Setting up multi store

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm required to make a set up of Prestashop in order to be used by multiple vendors.

I'm new with Prestashop.

The requirements are:

 - Those vendors have no relation between them, in fact each store is completely different

 - I would be the SuperAdmin and each vendor would be the Admin's of their store but all of this admin's can not manage some aspects of the Prestashop dashboard (for example they can't switch the theme)

 - Each admin can not do anything in other store.

 - I would like to be able to activate some plugins in one individual store but not in the others. For example if one store owner needs a module to pay with credit card, I would install and activate it to that store only.

I think that integrating all stores in one instead of making multiple installation makes it more easy to manage, upgrade and less time consuming compared to install each store individually.

Of course I'm talking of little stores in terms of traffic, data size in database etc.

What I tried:

I have set up a testing multi store and almost have all of these requirements satisfied except:

 - When I create a product in store B and write it's name, the system suggest me to copy products from store A. I don't want this behaviour

 - When I edit a product, Prestashop shows me a warning with orange bullets and says that if I change the value of some fields it would be changed in all stores.

Finally my questions:

I don't know if I am missing a configuration but I don't find where can I change this behaviour when creating new products in order to avoid showing the other products of other stores. Is this possible to avoid?

The same with the orange warnings.

Is there any other potential issue to take in mind  ?

Thanks in advance for your help :)
