[SOLVED] Disable enlish US i get errors all over the site

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I made the default language of the site RO (Romanian). But i also kept the enlish US language because if i disable this language and leave only RO i can't use any links in the topmenu, categories, cms ... Any link i press i get a 400 error, page not found. I need to disable english, because many users arrive on the enlish version, as the landing page. I checked the categories, cms, pics and all are made for RO in BO. Prestashop version 1.5.5.0

Thanks in advance, and sorry for my bad enlish :D

Are you sure you put 'ro' as default language? When I first arrived at your page, I got English as default language.

Please check: go to Localization->Localization,

Default language = ??

N.B. I see something strange, that many text strings are in romanian, even though you select English (like shopping card etc.).

Looks like there's some translation mix up or so...

Yes, I checked and the default language is set to Romanian. That's what i was talking about. For some reason, it goes to /en/ instead of /ro/. And the translation of the shoping cart is in romanian because i edited the .tpl Had some problems with the translation so i edited the tpl file. And if i disable en you get a bunch of errors.

Nevermind. I see they are working now :). I cleared cache, tried from 4 browsers and still got errors. I added a test subcategory after disabling english language, and all the links started to work. Strange, can't explain what made them to work.

Language problem:

Maybe try to re-generate your .htaccess:

Go to your shop root.

rename .htaccess file into .htaccessORIGINAL

go to preferences->SEO&URL's

toggle friendly url

 save

toggle back

save

You may need to (TEMPORARILY!!):

- turn OFF your smarty cache and

- 'Template cache' set to "Recompile templates if the files have been updated"

in Advanced Parameters->Performance

to see the changes. (Don't forget to turn cache back ON afterwards!)

also here:

-if you have any ccc setting ON, disable for a moment. Apache optimization too.

-reload pagina

-turn back on

Hope this helps,

pascal

EDIT, see you solved it. maybe the file got regenerated by changing the things you did.
