Sacats
Hi, I have quite some products that are on order for the customers (I don't keep them in stock), so I have a theme where it is not mentioned in the product list if a product is available or out of stock. (because, when it is out of stock, people do not click on it to see that they can order it) Now I have a lot of customers who are confused and do not see? that these products are on back order (although the shipping time is mentioned on the product page. I would like to add in the product list either if a product is available, out of stock OR on order. But I can't seem to find out how I should do that. Available and out of stock is not a problem. But it still says out of stock, even when I click the button allowing a customer to back order it. Can you tell me what I should add in my product list, so that I have the words "on order" in stead of out of stock when a product can be ordered but the total available is 0 Thanks

Sacats
Hi, This is a link to my site where you can see that product availability is not mentioned: http://www.anderland.be/en/654-tula-toddler-carrier In this site (btw it's the same theme), I've added something to the product-list so that you can see if a product is out of stock or available: http://www.babydragers.be/en/647-tula-toddler-carrier So, I would like to have it like the second site, but when some of these products are out of stock, I do not want it to mention "out of stock" but to mention "availabe for back-order" or "on order" or something like that. Some of these products I just order when customers buy them. But when it says "out of stock" customers do not order or e-mail me about availability and so on. If they should click on the product, then they would see that it can be order: http://www.anderland.be/en/tula-toddler-carrier/1562-emma-mai-tula-toddler-carrier.html (but then again, they do not click as it says our of stock) Hmm, I hope my explication sounds comprehensive. So, I'm looking for something to add in the product-list. I presume it goes with this: {if isset($product.available_for_order) && $product.available_for_order && !isset($restricted_country_mode)}{if ($product.allow_oosp || $product.quantity > 0)}{l s='Available'}{elseif (isset($product.quantity_all_versions) && $product.quantity_all_versions > 0)}{l s='Product available with different options'}{else}{l s='Out of stock'}{/if}{/if}
Sacats
Hi, I copied something from a different topic you answered which could help me for my question: (this topic:http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/270206-backorder-items-show-on-stock-in-product-list/) A couple of things to clarify. Do you mean: Allow orders = No and stock = 0 - you want to show 'Out of stock' in product-list entry Allow orders = Yes and stock = 0 - you want to show 'On order' in product-list entry? YES, this is it What do you want to show if Allow orders = Yes and stock = 0 but the items are not actually on order? Or will you immediately re-order any product which has Allow orders = Yes as soon as the stock reaches 0? Or will you change the message from 'On order' to something else, and change it back when you do place an order? This does not apply to me, because I only keep products on Allow orders = yes when they are on order. And where you have product combinations where the default combination is out of stock, but other combinations have stock, which message has priority? Do you want to show that the default combination is on order, or that there are other combinations with stock available? This does not apply neither as I avoid having these combinations. petert
Up, still looking for a solution Looks like unless you are willing to pay PS will not help you in the nearby future. I have numerous bugs and problems, there are times when my shop (=my lifelyhood) stops working completely. If I had know before, I would have never chosen PS for my shop, it's immature software in my opinion.
Guest
This has helped me, so should help you too: http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/138553-available-and-out-of-stock-text-in-different-colours-in-product-list/
wrequine
Up, still looking for a solution This answer is a long time coming, but I don't peruse the forums too often. So, sorry if you have already found a solution. It looks to me like the feature you are looking for is already built in to Prestashop. When on a product page in your back office, go to the "Quantities" tab. If you scroll all the way down you will find "Availability Settings" section. This section gives you the option to customize the text that is displayed for items in stock, or items that are out of stock but back-ordering is allowed. For example - Displayed Text for Items In Stock = Qualifies for Same Day Shipping. Displayed Text When Backordering is Allowed = Available for Order. I hope thise helps.
