new product images do not show anymore

I don't know since when but I noticed that new product images are not working anymore.

 

When uploading a new image ( and I tried images in 600x600 I had used successfully before) does not apear on the FO!?

 

 

I regenererated all images and only product images to no avail.

I tried with "delete old ones" on and off.

 

 

Stupid is that big image and tiny image appear on the BO!

 

The FO looks like this and even a template switch (original PS), refresh via strg-F5 nor a different browser cures this:

 

 

 

 

I must tell you that I deleted the old watermark module and  that I use a mod:

However, I do not believe there is a cause. But who knows.

Fact is that this again blocking our workflow and nerves are blank.

 

Any ideas, how to get new product images working again?

 

 

PS:

BO image setting is to use PNG when avaible.
