jaguarx
Hi,I'm new to PrestaShop. It seems quite hard to find documentation, tutorial or guide to set up a Presta site. Can someone show me how to replace the home page with my own stuff? Do I start with my own theme and supporting PHP modules? How do I rearrange page components? Thanks in advance.Warren
wayne
I found this site. It is still in the process of being made but there is some pretty good info here:http://www.daveegerton.com/prestashop-guides.htmlwayne
jaguarx
Wayne,Thanks, you're right. This site has very good information in it. I need to set up a printer cartridge/tonner shop. The design is actually very simple. A user first selects the printer to get a list of cartridges and picks cartridges. The product count is about 800. Do you think PrestaShop is the right kind of platform for this type of website? Where else can I go for help if I run into problems in addition to this forum? ThanksWarren
wayne
I think prestashop should work great for this. Just turn off a bunch of the modules that you don't need to simplify your site..wayne
jaguarx
Wayne,Good to know that. Modules are pretty much PHP/HTML, right? Are there any sample websites with modules/templates etc available to serve as a model when I'm cranking on mine? Thanks,Warren
