(SOLVED) Where i must put the Addthis code.

Recommended Posts

Hello.

I have a question. Where i must put the Addthis code, to appear in all pages of my site.

The addthis site says  << Copy and paste the code below anywhere in your page. Each layer will automatically appear in the right place.>>

Thanks for the help.

My version is 1.5.3.1 and  Default theme.

if you want to display add this on each page in your store, you should add it to:

  1. header
  2. footer

if you've got left / right column on each page - you can also add this code to columns

i try to put in Themes/default/header.tpl before </head> and when i click save and refresh , the page it was blank at all. and the website it was gone.!!! when i delete the code then, all good.

Can you give me the right path ???

thanks

The code you are given is from where? Can you show me the page. We have a module for Add This that may be better for your purposes. Check it out here, http://addons.prestashop.com/en/social-commerce-facebook-prestashop-modules/5106-pinterest-facebook-twitter-google-linkedin-addthis.html

Thanks for your fast reply and your time . You have right i must find a module.

The code is from the www.addthis.com .

I know that the code is originally from but I am not sure that this is compatible with advance shopping cart systems and unique templates. You may need to have a module in order to hook it in the correct place. vekia may be able to give more information as I am not aware with AddThis other than the PrestaShop module.

Thanks for the info again. I try to find a good module to hook it where i want.

if your code contains brackets, use {literal}{/literal} tags

example:

{literal}
YOUR CODE HERE
{/literal}

i will try it vekia.!!!

How did you do it?? I'm trying to figure it out but don't know how...

Do you paste it into a file on your hostings "file manager" or do you paste it somewhere in prestashop?

I thought you paste it in a html module but that didn't work.

Thanks!
