chiefen76
Hi, I have been away for vacation for a while. When I came home I noticed that my PayPal moduke no longer was installed and it was replaced by a new version(PayPal Europé 3.5.8) in the module list and I had to install it again. The problem is that I can not install it. When trying to install the modul I get two error messages saying: "The module paypal you uploaded is not a module" "The module can not be found" I have also tried to download the zip-package from Prestashop addons with the same result, that the zip-file I am trying to add not is a vali module??? HAve anybody got a solution to this problem?
benjamin utterback
Hello, this is just to let you know that the PayPal Module is updated to 3.6. You can download it here http://addons.prestashop.com/en/payments-gateways-prestashop-modules/1748-paypal.html Make sure to always have a backup of your files before you update modules. Do not hesitate to leave feedback about the module and if you have any issues, we can work together to solve them. Cheers, -Benjamin

benjamin utterback
Hello all, are you able to install via FTP? It's strange that you are unable to install this module. Edit: I was able to use this file attached, go into the backoffice/modules/add new module/choose file/upload and install. It is not the same for you? paypal.zip
Apokas
no, I still get the same problem: "The module ".$folder." you uploaded is not a module" "The module can not be found" I have tried three versions of paypal now. I have tried other browser.
Apokas
ok I have managed. I had to upload the file via FTP directly to the server
benjamin utterback
Awesome. That is great to hear. Unzip the folder and upload the paypal folder directly into your root/modules folder. You should then be able to install it. My guess is this is a some kind of hosting restriction on the amount of memory you can use at one time during upload you are able to upload other modules from your back office with no problem?

benjamin utterback
The module version 3.6 solved your issues? Is it okay to mark as solved now?
NBBO
Thanks a lot for the solution. Had the same problem with the paypal module, same errors when trying to install. Also it´s impossible to install the module downloaded from prestashop addons manually, it would´nt even unzip and was only 2 kb? Downloading your attachment and installing this version manually worked for me! Thank you, Niels-B
