Update Only Inventory with csv import function

Hello,

I'm working with 1.5.3.1

As our inventory has grown, its becoming cumbersome to manually update inventory levels. The manufacturers we represent have a data file available in both csv and xls formats.

 

Is there a way to import only available quantity by reference number? I don't want descriptions and all other data because my descriptions are custom written so I do not want them to override. I just want to update inventory. Hope this makes sense.

I'm not sure that update by reference is standard in Prestashop.  You can give it a shot on a couple of products.

 

If you are interested I have a service that will update quantity and price by reference for all your products once a day using your vendors data file.  The price is only $25 a month.  No setup fee or cancellation fee.
