[solved] Making my site live - Same server - from folder to root (public_html)

Hi folks,

 

Ok, ive searched on here so forgive me if I'm missing something but I'll be damned if i can find a simple guide that talks about moving my site from a 'test folder and making it live. At least not one that isn't from an older version of prestashop!

So my site is currently parked on my domain. I installed prestashop into a folder called "shop2" (no, its not a multishop, i just messed up 'shop' so did a fresh install can called it 'shop2').

So my path for my folder (hostgator is my host) is :-

 

public_html/shop2

 

All i want to do is move it to the main root but the 'tutorials' on here suggest I move everything from my 'shop2' folder and then put it into my root folder (obviously public_html folder) and then edit a file called 'settings.inc.php' which is meant to be in (public_html/config/settings.inc.php).

I don't have a folder called "config" in my public_html folder so im totally lost as to what i'm supposed to be doing here

P.S has anyone got any of that spray on stuff that stops you biting your nails please? lol

FFS! lol ignore me! I realised just as i had posted this that the folder called "config" in my public_html root folder wont actually exist until i've moved it from 'shop2' into my root!! doh! sorry guys! Marked as solved for now lol
