xenobius
Hi all, I'd like to host Prestashop on my own Amazon Server running Windows Server. I made a lot of research on this topic but somehow no one on earth seams to have this issue. Which server should I use to professionally host more than one prestashop? I tried Tomcat alone and Tomcat with Apache and the configuration all went well too. I can access a sample jsp page that I have created however when I came to install PHP, I found a lot of discouraging comments and I also found very old solutions to installing PHP on Tomcat. I still tried to install PHP despite being old but never managed. What do you use or recommend? This will NOT be a test server and so security and performance are obviously important. Thanks all X
vekia
i think that you should abandon windows, it isn't as good OS for websites as unix based OS is. If i were you i will install debian with standard lamp package, it's easy to configure, fast and with these configuration you can host many separate prestashop stores
xenobius
Hi vekia, I wish it was that easy. If I knew how to manage linux, I would but it took me 5 days to install Java let alone all the stuff I need. Its just not the time for Linux as I want it up and running soon. I cant imagine how difficult it would be to work over putty when you have ZERO experience.
vekia
So maybe use some shared hostings? in this case you will not have to configure them, because shared hosting is... configured and ready to use
