accented url problem after upgrading to 1.5.5.0 from 1.5.4.1

Hello

 

after upgrading to 1.5.5.o from 1.5.4.1 all the accented urls (greek words ) are wrong

 

i tried to disable all in preferenses url and i deleted .htaccess and i enabled the accented urls agains so new htacces created but again the urls og Greek words created as funny characters insted of greek letters and the result is 404 page product not found

Finally it seems that this hapens to any new installation too

 

I just installed 1.5.5 and i created a greek category and the url says ...../el/6-δοκιμη

 

instead of ................./δοκιμη

 

so it seems that 1.5.5 has a bug ?

yeah I had this issue too after upgrading one of my shops to 1.5.5.0, my only solution was to edit the urls that had accents manually to remove them. Hopefully they will fix it soon with a minor update.

same problem here for french accents. For example in customer service messages. All special caracters are wrong
