[SOLVED] Shipping Carriers Not Available (no error displaying) HELP!

I'm new to PS, having worked with it about a week. I've read a lot of posts and worked through a number of issues but this one truly has me stumped.

 

There are no carrier choices displayed in the 4.Shipping step of the 5 step checkout. Using the shipping estimator module, I can see carrier choices in step 1 (summary). When I proceed to step 4 (Shipping), there is a heading, "CHOOSE YOUR DELIVERY METHOD" but nothing below it. No error, no options, just a blank yellow box under which is, "TERMS OF SERVICE".

 

There is probably a simple code adjustment that will fix this but I have no idea where to begin.

Only USPS. In an effort to correct the first issue (no carrier for this address), I have disabled everything except North America. All the states are enabled properly. I have 3 price ranges 0-100, 100.01 - 300, 300.01-500. Again, the estimator now sees the carriers and I don't get an error on the shipping step, just get nothing.

The courrier I am using is a custom created one, so not using a courier module. I have added weight ranges, price ranges, and made sure that the minimum order is set to 0 but it just won't work. link to the store is pinheadlocks.com/store.

Hey Benjamin,

 

There were some issues with the auto-update as well and the integration of another module so I decided to start over from scratch and install 1.5.5.0 right away. Will know in two days whether the issue got fixed in the update or still exists. If it's still not working will add another post. Thanks though for having a look at it!

Hi, you are using the UPS module? What version of the module do you have? In order for Free Shipping to display you must set the Free Shipping limit inside the module configuration itself.

Hey Benjamin,

 

No, I am not using any module. I just set upp a regular flat rate carrier (essentially I just renamed the "my Carrier" to "regular shipping" and assigned a 8.40 rate to all regions). I also found that if I put items into a shopping cart and access the cart in the backoffice, it tells me that no carriers are available for the order although the regular carrier is assigned to all regions.

Im having some issues aswell, dont know if Im doing a bad thing posting here but I got the same problem, unfortunately.

 

Thing is, I have 2 carriers, same as mr.aka_motu, the "free shipping" under the cart is displaying but then I proceed to checkout (5 step checkout) there are no carries and @ the shipping section its says theres no carrier to ship to my adress.

 

Before this error, it kinda worked, but when I placed an order with 2 products it automaticly made 2 orders, dont know why. (I had for 1st carrier price range 0-999 and for 2nd carrier 1000-10000 - the 2 products were one worth 2700 and one 123 so for the one of 2700 it made an order with 1 carrier and for the 123 one made another order with the other carrier)

 

Please help im loosing my mind here..

 

EDIT: I just want one carrier to get enabled when customers order products/product over 1000lei and the other carrier get activated when they order under 1000lei

The "Include the shipping and handling costs in the carrier price." option is enabled. The settings I am currently using are generally identical to the settings seen in the screenshots I posted above. But as adelnaser and maisondepapier already described, no carrier will show up in the checkout. I also tested the Canadian Post module and the same issue occurs. No carriers show up at all.

Im back, problem solved even tho I dont really understand how.

 

I deleted everything from carriers... Created ONE CARRIER, added a price range 0-999lei with 20lei. Now if I order something of 1500lei it ships with the SAME carrier but free of charge.

 

So, afterall I had to set up just one carrier not 2 :D

 

P.S: aka_motu I still dont see the carrier in the Sumary page but on the 4th step on Shipping it shows up :)

Hi, in your screenshot number 3 it shows that the Shipping and Handling option is actually disabled. Can you confirm?

Hi, according to your shipping wizard set up. All carts that weigh between 0-70 Pounds will have free shipping. Have you set up your weights for your products?

 

Remember that your USPS module configuration is different than your shipping carrier configuration that you use in the module. The USPS module uses different configurations for things like handling charges and free shipping. 

 

Try to change the Handling Charge of 2.50 to 0 in the Shipping/Shipping screen.

 

Then, add the price of $2.50 in the Shipping Wizard. It should show up then.

The weights for my products were already set.

 

As far as the USPS Module, I rest it just in case there was an issue within it. I also made the changes you provided and the shipping still cones up as "free shipping" and not showing my carriers during customer checkout.

I just searched this forum for my problem, and I can see that I have same problem as this guy. I just installed prestashop yesterday, and have set it up and added a few products and such, but I get this "No carriers available" in step 4 of the order process.

 

Ive tried to delete everything and set up a new currier from scratch, but still same issue :(

 

My setup is as follows:

 

Carrier name: DPD

 
This carrier is not free and the delivery announced is: 3-7 arbejdsdage.
 
The shipping cost is calculated according to the weight and the tax rule DK Standard Rate (25%) will be applied.
 
This carrier can deliver orders from 0.000000 kg to 30.000000 kg. If the order is out of range, the behavior is to apply the cost of the highest defined range.
 
This carrier will be proposed for those delivery zones:
  • Africa
  • Asia
  • Central America/Antilla
  • Europe
  • Europe (out E.U)
  • North America
  • Oceania
  • South America
 
And it will be proposed for those client groups:
  • Visitor
  • Guest
  • Customer

ok, i just thought i would troubleshoot a bit, and i found that adding the product with local stock gives me a option to select the currier. so the problem must be the quantity setup. so my question is now:

 

how do i best add products with no stock level (allways unlimited stock) and also allow attributes on the paroducts (size, color etc)

Im stumped on this one. I can ad some products and it works fine, others say carrier not available. Ive read everyone replies and nothing listed helped or worked. I have tried to see what might be different from one product to the next and I dont see anything different. I even changed weights to match weights of products that work and still wont work. Any help would be great. Thanks Richie

But in the front end, some items come up with free shipping and others not in the cart (and nowhere is free shipping endabled). Also, upon checkout...at step 4, like the others....says NO CARRIERS AVAILABLE despite the fact that I have one set up and enabled. Now I understand why I havent gotten any sales yet! Help! I see the free shipping - it could be a issue about the carrier not enabled on the product. you need to set it up on every product manually, even though you duplicate a product. Try to edit the product, and go to shipping, you need to have the carrier chosen selected there and save it.

 

Also, under shipping -> carriers, i would recommend you to try and enable a shpiing price for all locations (europe, north, south america etc.), just to see if that solves it. All groups should be enabled on it as well, but thats on by default so...

 

For me, I had enabled the "I want to use the advanced stock management system for this product." mark in the Quantities section on the product, and since it was not set up proberbly, it bounced to "no carriers available". No carriers available could also give the "free shipping" message.

 

On a side note, I would proberbly recommend you to enable guest purcases, some customers does not want to create a account, just to buy for 20 bucks in a store. Just my experience.

 

Hope someone skilled can have a look at this for you if these aint giving any great pointers.

As for the carrier, that is automatically defaulted if there is only one when setting up a product.....now I have the long task of unsetting the ASM in each product...ugh! I wish they had a function where you could bulk edit products.

Glad it worked out for you. I did the same mistake when i started up.

 

I dont think there is a easyer way then to just go though the products number by number and remove it :-)

my prestashop v is 1.6.6

multistore disable and my zone is Asia and my country is Iran that are enable

free carirrer is off and for every product input weight

but in order tell no carrier for tihs Adress

and in configur carrier out of stock is disable

plz help me

I was having the exact same problem of no carrier available but I found out the reason was the stock management module. Once I removed that check box in the product quantity tab and mad it manual. The carriers appeared again !!!!

Why is this module causing that problem ,,, I hope someone with more experience with Prestashop would tell us

I need some help. I've not used the ASM check and have set up all of my stock as manual. I have set up 3 different carrier options and have tried checking All Countries on the Carriers set-up. When I select a product it states free shipping and won't let me select a carrier at check-out. I'm not getting anywhere fast!

I made the test of the stock product and still get no available carriers, even when selecting products and putting them with 0

 

I also noticed that when the user first logins to the store at the 3rd step (address) sometimes he gets:

Do you have a link to your store. Do you have weight ranges set up as well? You still need to set up weight ranges even if you are not using them. You can do 0-9999 lbs

this helped me, somebody ordered huge quantity and he had this problem, so I had to adjust the weight and size of the packages, thanks!
