jonmig
hi guys I'm as new as a newbie gets on here lol, however I have managed to solve the problem of the latest installation failing at 23% with a little help from my host providers as follows! error :create default shop and languages go to the php ini file and change the following: delete the CH MOD File turn SAFE MODE off (default is on) re-upload the ini file to the server and voila (hopefully this works for you guys too ..) now I need your help please ,after successful installation and accessing of the back office I can't seem to be-able to point my website to my host correctly it just keeps coming back with the following error and shows a blank screen with a server error message. clicking on the more button reveals the following message: The website encountered an error while retrieving (http://www.mywebsite.co.uk/). It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly. any help would be very much appreciated Mike Edited August 30, 2013 by jonmig (see edit history)

jonmig
hi there The php.ini file that was changed was in the cgi-bin folder .. I would go to your host and speak with the techs giving them this information ,another way I tried to get around the language pack problem was to install a different language (say French) and then install English as a second language ,my problem here was that I couldn't change French as the default language to English so I gave up in the end. cheers Mike Edited September 10, 2013 by jonmig (see edit history)
