1-Click Upgrade error for copying /404.php

I get the following error messages when trying to 1-click up grade from 1.5.4.1 to 1.5.5.0

 

error for copying /404.php

error when trying to upgrade /404.php

 

Anyone else with the same problem?

Is there a fix for this issue?

i have this same issue. Tried checking write permissions and using the module in different browsers. If anyone has a solution that would be great. My database is too large to upgrade the old school deprecated way.

If you chmod 777 it will work I tried and 1 click works perfectly, the problem is how do you chmod back, some directory or files should be 777 for the upgrade and they are not identified on the instructions, so how to find which one has to be chmod 777 ????

It's not the best solutions but chmod -R 777 helped. it's definitely access problem, not a bug.
