These are both distinct and separate roles which seems to be used synonymously for a PrestaShop Multi-store setup.. Here is where the confusion exist: Supplier = the company who distributes the product Store Owner = the company or individual who is the seller. If a product has a manufacturer and distributor, than where is the role for store owner? Usually the supplier or distributor sales directly to the store owner. Currently PrestaShop merges both store owner and distributor in the same role. In the business world, the supplier can be the manufacturer but more often the manufacturer sells to the distributor which then sells directly to the store owner..
