I'm having the same problem and regenerating the images doesn't solve it. When I try to regenerate the images, it tells me that the image doesn't exist. Looking at my img folder, I see the images following the naming convention "XX-YY.jpg" where XX is the product ID and YY is the image ID. When the images are being regenerated, it looks like it's looking for just "YY.jpg", which doesn't exist.

Have you tried copying XX-YY.jpg and creat a YY.jpg and try regenerating, just to test if your conclusion is good?

If it is good, it means that you need to rename all your image and regenerate them...I don't know how much you have, if your conclusion are right, be sure to flag this in the forge.

Best regards,

Martin

@luisoliver This isn't the page you are looking for...

Vekia is right, it could be a part of the problem, test it without the friendly URL. Also, try gonig in catalog>product, try selecting one and see if there's an image linked to it and if you can see it.

@Vekia I'm back from my vacation on Tatooine

I did test it and the one image I tested it on regenerated fine... but it's not just a matter of renaming those images. The images that the regenerator is looking for are under the folder structure /img/p/A/B/AB.jpg. So that means creating a ton of folders for the images.

I didn't update yet (I'm working on some modules and can't afford to change version until the module is completed) so I don'T know how much they changed the image file architecture. But if what you say is true, it will be flagged in forge and will be corrected in the next days/weeks or the module 1-click update will be updated soon to patch that problem.

@vekia About Luis, either it's spam, but usually spam attack contains link, or he's trying to help us or asking for help. I don't think he's adressing to us tho...It seems like his message was traduced (Badly) from Portugese. The french version doesn't make any sense neither by the way.

Has anyone figured out why the image are not showing? Why would the upgrade change the path to the image?

I am wondering if this is a problem for everyone that has upgraded?

Wishing I hadn't now but i had so many problems with 1.5.4.1

As well as the display problem, Just tried re-generating images and got the following:

Cannot write "No picture" image to (products) images folder. Please check the folder's writing permissions.

Had no problems before upgrade to 1.5.5

Any Ideas..

Thanks in advance..

I have checked my images are correct. I have been looking at this for hours. I have restored the site but this still doesnt solve the problem. I have then upgraded again and installed a new theme. The image settings are correct.

The problem seems to lie with the URL for the images. i have tried turning off friendly urls but this didn't work either.

When trying to regenerate thumbnails I was getting errors that the files didn't exist. I checked and they don't exist.

It seems to be looking for images in separate folders for each product but this is not how mine are stored.

I have tried uploading images in the BO for product but this just gives me an error now.

Does anyone know why it would be looking at the wrong path for images?

I seem to have solved my problems. Not sure it will help any of you but this is what worked for me.

My site was still using the old file system for images. 1.5.5.0 doesnt have an option to upgrade. I dont believe it was there in 1.5.4.1 either. To change the file system I used this fix:

https://github.com/PrestaShop/PrestaShop/commit/ff876034b46b26065b06928addef6da2521dd6c7

I was then able to go to preferences > images and change it to the new system. I then regenerated thumbnails and it all seems to be ok again.

Phew, only took me 17 hours to work that one out!!! :)
