MrjvanVeen
Hi there, I'm setting up a multi language shop. I use multiple languages and multiple domains. For instance... I have .nl, .be and .de domains. .nl is my default store. The .be domain is redirect to .nl/be/ and the .de is redirect to .nl/de/ When i go to my .nl domain it goes to .nl/nl/ this is no problem for me. but when i go to my .de domain and go back to my .nl domain, the .nl domain keeps bringing me to .nl/de/ I need my .nl domain always located to the .nl/nl/. Does someone know a fix for it? I tried a lot, but nothing seems to help. Thank you.

MrjvanVeen
Its about .nl, .de and .be -removed the domain names. Edited August 29, 2013 by MrjvanVeen (see edit history)
El Patron
this is because all your domain names resovle to .nl/language/ so if you go to .be the cookie lang is set, so then when you visit the .nl and get nl/be, this is because of that. why do you not have shop set up for each domain (each having it's own cookies)? you then would not use redirects, but most typical setup (cpanel park, plesk alias) to main domain
MrjvanVeen
Setting up a shop for each domain means 3 back-ends? I need 1 back-end and 1 place to control the quantities.
El Patron
you posted in the 1.5 forum, so I assume you have 1.5 if you run 1.5 then you can use the multishop feature to run three different domains, that can either share everything or can run independently, on one installation and one back office

That's great news, I will mark this as solved. Isn't multishop dreamy!...make sure you run the sitemap, setup your domains in webmaster tools and submit the sitemap... you can also set the default currency/language all sorts of things by shop/domain. They talk about one back office running diferrent shops but the real power is running same content on multiple domains by ccTLD's (.de/.fr/.be) etc.
kevin78
Hi there can you tell me how did you do to create one language for each domain please ? did you activate the multi language ? if you have nl language, you should have www.yourwebsite.nl/nl/ if you have de language, you should have www.yourwebsite.nl/de/ How did you do to have : www.yourwebsite.nl www.yourwebsite.de with one BO ? When you activate the multishop, you should have already two websites with the correct language ?! Did you use a redirection ? www.yourwebsite.nl/de/ redirection to www.yourwebsite.de www.yourwebsite.nl/nl/ redirection to www.yourwebsite.nl Edited November 24, 2013 by kevin78 (see edit history)
