Quantity in selected Products to be in weight

When it comes to specific products - like fruits and vegetables - there I want that instead of quantity being calculated as 1, 2 or 3 - my customer should be able to select quantity in Kilograms and grams and the price of the product should be calculated accordingly in the cart.

For example - if I specify Tomato as Rs. 30 per Kg in the back-end - it should show the default price in the front-end as Rs 30 and default quantity as 1 KG. However, the person could change the quantity as to 500 gms, 1.5 Kg etc from the drop-down menu for quantity and then the price should change accordingly.

 

The the person can add to cart after selecting how much quantity in weight they want.

 

Is this possible in Prestashop. If yes - then how >?

You could set the default quantity as 1kg.... and Simply have your customer choose how many KG's they want.

 

 

So if your customer wants 500, they can order 500... It makes sense because it is clear where your customer can put how many Kilograms they want.

 

That can be done by default in PrestaShop. In the description you can say that it's 30 Rs. per 1 KG. However, the only limitation is that they can not order less than the default price for a unit. They would not be able to order half of 1 KG....

 

In that case you would need to set the default as Rs. 15 for 1 unit.

Exatly from where i can set  default quantity.and describe it significance.1=250gm,2=500gm,3=750gm,4=1kg

 

in quantites tab there are two options to edit one is availabe quantity and second is mimum quantity.

 

what should i set if i want to get above mentioned result?

 

version prestashop 1.5(latest)

how do I let my customer to choose buy by kg or buy by quantity ( or pc's )
