PayPal inside an IFrame is a problem

Recommended Posts

OK, Im a NOOB with Prestashop but I can build websites. I made a new website at www.portsideair.com and made a regular template. I then doanloaded Prestashop, uploaded it to my server and put it in an IFrame using my template as a wrapper. I am using the standard Prestashop template, so I have not changed anything there. The problem occures when someone hits the PayPal button for check out, either Express or regular. I guess PayPal does not like being in an IFrame as a 3rd child. I have been reading forums about this but never did see any fix I could point to and use. I think from what I see, people have talked about adding code to the button so it opens in a new window, but I never did see where to add the code to make this work. If anyone has any ideas, please help. Im open to any suggestions. Thanks in advance...

Hi Portside,

PayPal Express and PayPal Pro does not support PayPal with an Iframe.

The only way to do this would be through custom coding, I think you have read this before. As far as where you should custom code I am not sure because it can be done differently with different integrations and different PayPal accounts.

I will see what else I can research but for now you may want to contact PayPal to see if this is possible with your account, if so, they may have resources to tell you how to achieve this.
