[solved] No results quick search

Hi,

 

My quick search/search block module gives no results on any search input. Does anyone have an idea what causes this problem and how it can be fixed?

Every category or subcategory I click on says 'There are no products'

 

No products = no search results.

 

And IMHO that's a really fiddly search bar to try & enter a search term into. As we say here: 'style over substance'.

Thanks for your reply. I'm not fond of the search bar either, but I don't know how to make it static Hope to find a solution for that too.

 

Also you're right, there are no products to search for right now, just removed the demo products. It didn't find the demo products (like ipod's and such) but I have just created a test product and it seems to find that one okay, so problem sovled I guess

you've got only one product "test" i tried to search for "test" and your store showed

 

it mean that everything works fine

 

remember that sometimes you will not see new products in search reasults - if so - then you will have to rebuild index (preferences > search)

Thanks, I'm not sure why the demo products weren't found by this module, but it's working fine now!

Hi

 

I'm using a bit older version of Prestashop - PS 1.3.5.0 and all of a sudden search block stopped working. Always when i'm trying to find some product, the result is always zero, like i wouldn't have any products in my catalog.

 

All products have been indexed, i've checked in the back office. I have also tryed to reinstall the quick search block, but again no luck.

 

What could it be wrong?
