How i can set /index.php?controller=new-products as my home page in 1.5.3.1

HI friends ,

 

I am getting tired to find , Beofre i can able to redirect my page into index.php?controller=new-products and set it as my home page But in prestashop 1.5.3.1 i am getting errors . If any one have idea about it ,please share it to me ,

you can create simple rewrite in htaccess file:

RewriteRule ^$ index.php?controller=new-products [NC]

thanks Vekia for your replay , i just want to know is there any otherway we can redirect the url , instead of use .htaccess ? Before i can set it in the indexController.php

exactly what i search with prestashop 1.6 ...

dont work if i modify htaccess
