bfleck
How do you specify shipping costs for each product? Error message in checkout--shipping: "There are no carriers that deliver to the address you selected."
PascalVG
Hi bfleck, Actually both questions are not directly related. The shipping costs per product can be directly added to each product: Go to Catalog->Products, and edit one of the products you want to add shipping costs to. Go to the shipping-tab and add the shipping cost per product in the field: "Additional shipping cost (per quantity)" Now that you're here, check if there's any carrier shown in the carriers list just below the shipping cost field. You can either select here one or ore carriers that are available for shipping this product. If all carriers are possible, just DON'T select any carriers; they then can all be used. To fix the error message, there are a few threads about this already, with most probably the answers mentioned in there. Just read and follow suggestions here: (You can google yourself for more options: Prestashop no carriers to address ) http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/219885-there-are-no-carriers-available-that-deliver-to-that-address/ or http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/261489-there-are-no-carriers-that-deliver-to-the-address-you-selected/ or http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/148197-there-are-no-carriers-available-that-deliver-to-this-address/ If still not working, please summarise what you tried already, and ask some more help here. My 2 cents, pascal
bfleck
Pascal I did put the shipping amounts in for each item but they do not appear in checkout?? no does the UPS carrier that we need. Thanks for your help...It is much improved in that I now can see my "pickup in store" option as a carrier during checkout but I do not see UPS as my default carrier during checkout. Actually, pickup in store disappeared from my carrier list in PrestaShop but it appears correctly during checkout. Where did it go? I need to get the UPS option working and I can roll this out.....weird! I want to change the store picture and contact information in the right margin. Is this possible? example below of what the default is: Thank you example: Our support hotline is available 24/7. +33 (0)1.23.45.67.89 CONTACT OUR EXPERT SUPPORT TEAM! bfleck
Pascal I used this information to fix most of my problems: http://jumprit.wikansaged.com/fixing-there-is-no-carrier-available-that-will-deliver-to-this-address-in-prestashop/ except now UPS shows up but it lists it as free shipping like I have for: "pick up in store" How can I get it to put in the individual amount I put in for each item with UPS? PascalVG
hi bfleck, about the contact info: the telephone number and email address (when clicking on the Contact out expert team button) can be changed in the configuration screen of the module itself go to modules->modules, find the module "Block Contact" (NOT 'block contact INFO', that's another one) click configure link cange telephone number and email address To change the picture, go to /modules/blockcontact/images and change the picture: block_contact_bg.jpg if you keep the size the same, you don't mess with the layout. Otherwise you may have to change some css values in /modules/blockcontact/blockcontact.css as well. the text you can change in the translation module of Prestashop: Go to localization->translations choose installed modules translations, choose your theme (standard 'default') and press the language you want to translate into. if you just want to change the English into other English, press the American flag: Find blockcontact module. There you see the strings of the module you can translate. Just add the newly desired text on the right of the original strings and press save. Reload the front page and see if it works (maybe you need to clear your browser cache) Also to see the changes in picture, you may need to temporarily - turn OFF your cache and - 'Template cache' set to "Recompile templates if the files have been updated" in Advanced Parameters->Performance Hope this helps. If you want I can have a look in your shop settings for carriers. If you want that, please create a temporary employee with admin rights (Administration->Employees) and send me the info BY EMAIL: [email protected]. (Don't give me the info here...) pascal
bfleck
Pascal You have been very helpful and many of my problems have been because I do not have some modules listed. I did some research and one site showed a UPS module. I did not see this on my module list so I searched and found it and now have the shipping problems resolved .... I think Thank you for the tip on clearing cache as well. I thank you for your time. It is greatly appreciated, bfleck
bfleck
Pascal I may have written to soon ! It seems that IE works well and adds shipping and the pick up at store and UPS carriers are visible. Safari and Chrome show only the pickup at store carrier and gives free shipping? bfleck
PascalVG
Hi bfleck, I see your shop is open at the moment. I'll have a quick look (with chrome). If you put your shop in maintenance, please add my IP address to your maintenance IP list, so I can have a further look: 171.98.5.204 (hmm, maybe also 171.98.4.169 , Prestashop mentions this as my IP address...) pascal Edited August 26, 2013 by PascalVG (see edit history)
PascalVG
Quick result: I bought one product and checked out: Used instant checkout. Estimated shipping (Alabama, USA, 35004) gave both pick up as well as UPS (around 10 $ I believe) Continuing, I added address, again came to shipping where both were shown. Then payment I saw (2 x?paypal option. Chose the lower one (with text Pay with Paypal next to logo). Got this message: We cannot process this transaction because there is a problem with the PayPal email address supplied by the seller. Please contact the seller to resolve the problem. If this payment is for an eBay listing, you can contact the seller via the "Ask Seller a Question" link on the listing page. When you have the correct email address, payment can be made at www.paypal.com. (Did you modify the paypal settings already?) Summarizing: In Chrome I DO see the UPS option (This time...) pascal
bfleck
Pascal I used the upper button and it worked. I ordered a hat for pickup tonight. I wonder how I can delete the lower PayPal button? bfleck
